Welcome to the Australian Distilling Company. This team is dedicated to refining the craft of gin through expressions of our great cities. There are currently 10 city gins in their range, including all the capital cities. Fremantle is lucky enough to get a nod, with a suitably purple colour bottle adorning the Fremantle Gin.
Through each city they tell a story about the location. Perth gets Lemon Myrtle to express the clear blue sky and stunning coastline. Melbourne is a full of spices and zesty citrus to express the rich culture and effortless coolness of the town. Darwin gets a floral tropical treatment for obvious reasons. And so on, well at least until you get to Fremantle.
So what treatment would Fremantle get???
At first I was surprised and then it made sense. Fremantle gets menthol, like a dirty cigarette that tries to clean up its act by adding a little fresh mint. No matter how hard you try, at the core, it's still a dirty cigarette. And so too are the flavours of Fremantle covered by fresh mint overtones. Covering up years of disappointment for Fremantle Football Club supporters, or trying to overcome the smell of incense at the market, or the naked guy casually strolling through mall, or... or..... or. Either way the flavours of Fremantle are there to stay, but for you all we offer a little fresh mint to help you forget.
To balance this number we recommend the Indian Tonic.
